Client Challenge
Our client obtained their technical labor support through their wholly owned subsidiary for many years. Internal cost-cutting initiatives in the late 1990s encouraged the customer’s supply management team to seek proposals and creative solutions from numerous reputable staff augmentation vendors. Our client recognized System One’s expertise in staffing technical personnel through System One’s relationships with their competitors and our direct relationships with large nuclear power utilities. More importantly, the company recognized the creativity, value and experience offered by System One as compared to the other competitors.

System One was awarded an initial three-year contract. The relationship was successful and resulted in a recent contract renewal for an additional five years.

Our client determined that they needed to streamline their hiring and management processes for their long-term professional contract workforce. The company needed to create a global solution, utilizing web based tools to increase their hiring efficiencies and reduce their overall administrative cost. They again went out for competitive bids and selected System One to provide Professional Staffing Services globally.


Our Solution
System One was familiar with our client's environment and the positions they needed, including the skills and competencies required to fill them and their geographic locations. System One implemented a secure web-based workflow automation system that enabled hiring managers to access the system via their company Intranet or Internet.

Hiring managers open a job requisition and enter the job details via a secure web site. The requisition is automatically posted and sent to the System One client team. Within twenty four-hours, the client receives quality candidates who are qualified and ready to be reviewed. Once hired, the employee is set up on System One's automated time and expense reporting system where their information is transmitted directly into our client’s back office system. An interface was created that allows for electronic invoicing and payment, eliminating the need for paper. Reports are also automated so that our client's management team can pull statistics, trends and other relevant information.


The Results
System One has successfully delivered a top-notch start-to-finish system that has met the client’s requirements. Approximately 250 employees from the previous vendor were converted and new employees have been added. The first quarter review earned rave reviews. Our client has continued to demonstrate their confidence in the System One team through the expansion of our service delivery model into other wholly-owned subsidiaries and their nuclear fuel processing facilities.
