Client Challenge
Our client is one of the world's largest research-based pharmaceutical firms. The client had a need to integrate the maintenance and calibration of the equipment in their pharmaceutical R&D and pilot production facility. They needed the work performed by a single vendor in order to control the quality of the work performed and reduce the cost.


Our Solution
System One Scientific assigned a field supervisor and recruited a team of 5 service engineers to perform maintenance and calibration/qualification services on 90% of the client’s equipment including analytical laboratory instruments, storage equipment, sterilization equipment and manufacturing equipment.

System One also arranged to have the remainder of the equipment maintained by qualified vendors and invoiced the customer as a “pass-through” expense on the contract. This allows the client to manage just one contract and vendor to service the full array of equipment in their facility.


The Results
The client has achieved the goal of reducing overhead costs for the maintenance of their facility as well as improved quality of work performed on-site. System One has increased the scope of work performed for the client in each of the past 4 years. Additional projects have included laboratory relocation and facility validation.
