History

System One's business model emphasizes workforce management solutions for customers requiring high-volume, cyclic demand for skilled, technical and professional workers. We offer our clients maximum efficiencies and cost savings through technology-driven service delivery and contract administration processes. System One offers flexible and scalable options, from recruitment and payroll to turnkey vendor-on-premises solutions, to meet the specific needs of each of our clients.

Our company has been providing staffing and technical support services within the energy, scientific and engineering business sectors since 1979. We take particular pride in our extensive domain knowledge; many of our current employees have been with the organization since inception and most have significant experience in the sectors we support.

The organization grew throughout the 1980s and 1990s to become a primary supplier of these services throughout the power utilities markets and within the industrial and process metals industries. The company's steady rate of growth and success drew the attention of TMP Worldwide, the parent company of Monster.com at that time, which acquired Spec Group in 2000.

In 2003, TMP Worldwide spun off its staffing services into an independent NASDAQ publicly traded company, Hudson Highland Group. In February, 2008, Hudson Highland Group divested its engineering and technical resources business to the management team of System One Holdings, LLC (view launch press release PDF). The result — a new independent company with decades of experience and a completely specialized focus on the energy, engineering and scientific sectors.
